Tikka Boti


  1. Mix 1 packet of Shan Tikka Mix in half a cup of water, garlic, and 2 tablespoons oil. Apply to meat.
  2. Leave to marinate for 3-4 hours. (Remove and discard the raw papaya slices from the meat, if used).
  3. Sew meat onto skewers. Place on very low heat of coal/gas fire. Grill lightly on all sides.
  4. Lightly brush 1-1 ½ kg meat cut into thin small cubes with ½ cup butter/oil and rotate the skewers until meat is tender. Serve with Shan Tamarind Chutney, salad, and lemon juice. (To tenderize the meat further, add ½ cup thinly sliced papaya.)


Tender Steak


  1. Mix 1 ½ - 2 kg, ½” thick boneless slices of steak, ½ cup cooking oil, and 1 packet of Shan Tikka Mix and marinate for 1-2 hours.
  2. Heat a pan and place the steak for 3 minutes on one side and 1-2 minutes on the other side.


Do not press the meat. Remove and let it cool down for 2-3 minutes before serving
