Pakora / Bhajia Mix

STEPS OF COOKING

Pakora Mix 1-2 chopped chilies, 2 sliced onions, a few chopped coriander leaves and Shan Pakora Mix with one cup of water. Mix thoroughly to make a smooth batter. Set aside for 15-20 minutes. Drop the batter by the spoonful in 3 cups of hot oil and deep fry until golden. Sprinkle Shan Chaat Masala on the Pakoras and serve with Shan Chutney. 

Bhajia

  1. Mix 4-5 medium (500g) sliced onions, 4-5 chopped green chillies, ½ cup chopped fresh coriander (cilantro) and 1 packet Shan Pakora Mix. Do not add water. Rub and knead to make a rough dough.
  2. Make small balls and fry in 3 cups (500ml) hot oil until golden. Sprinkle Shan Chaat Masala and serve.

SHAN'S SUGGESTIONS

Make Pakoras/ Fritters of vegetables: Onion rings, Sliced Potatoes, Amchore filled Green Chilies. Spinach leaves, Boiled Chicken/Beef cubes, etc. Dip them in batter and deep fry. 

AALOO WARA

Mix 1-2 tablespoons Shan Chaat Masala in a cup of boiled and chopped potatoes and press it into balls. Dip in Pakora batter and deep fry.
