Combine chickpeas (boil 200g/1 cup of chickpeas in 10 cups of water for 2 hours, then add 1 tsp. baking soda and boil for 10 minutes), 3 cups peeled, boiled and cubed potatoes, 1 cup finely diced onions, 3-4 finely sliced green chillies, 3-4 tbsp. lemon juice, 2-3 tbsps. fresh coriander leaves (cilantro), ½ cup tamarind paste, and 3-4 tbsps. Shan Chana Chaat Masala. Mix well. Serve with crushed papri on top of each serving.
