Chinese Chop Suey

STEPS OF COOKING

  1. Combine 1 tablespoon Shan Chinese Chop Suey Mix, egg white (1, lightly beaten), meat (chicken/beef/fish/prawns 250g/ ½ lb, boneless, paper thin slices) and 1 tablespoon oil (vegetable oil). Set aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Dissolve remaining Shan Chinese Chop Suey Mix in 1¼ cup water and set aside.
  3. Heat oil (vegetable oil, 6-8 tablespoons/ ½ cup) in a large wok. On high heat add meat and stir- fry for 1 minute. Add vegetables (carrots ½ (half) thin round slices) (capsicum 1, cubed 1”x1”) (cabbage 150g/ 2 cups, cubed) (green onions 2-3 sliced 1” long) and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes. Continuously stir to turn and toss.
  4. Add the dissolved Shan Chinese  Chop Suey Mix and stir-fry on low heat for 2-3 minutes or until sauce thickens. Serve with Crispy Fried Egg Noodles or Shan Egg Fried Rice.
