Sambosa

STEPS OF COOKING

  1. Add 1 packet of Shan Sambosa Mix in 1 kg grounded / minced meat and set aside for 1 hour. 
  2. Place the marinated meat in a pot. Cover and cook on low heat till all the liquid dries up. Stir frequently.
  3. Add 250g/ 2 large finely diced onions, ½ teacup finely chopped fresh parsley, ½ teacup finely chopped green coriander and mix well. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  4. Spread the 80-100 sambosa pastry leaf and place 1-2 tablespoons cooked meat. Shape it in a triangle. Moistened the end of the pastry leaf with water and press to seal it.
  5. In 3-4 cups (600-800ml) hot oil fry the sambosa till golden. Remove, drain oil and serve with sauce

Serving Suggestion:

  1. Add 1-2 whipped egg in the cooked meat. 
  2. Make meat rolls, meat filled sandwiches dipped in batter* and deep fried.
  3. Make meat kofta balls and deep fry.
  4. Make flat patty dip in batter and deep fry.     
  5. *Batter: 2 eggs, one cup flour, ½ cup milk and enough water to make a smooth paste.
