Liver Masala

STEPS OF COOKING

  1. Apply 1 ½ tbsp. crushed ginger, 2 tbsp. (50g) crushed garlic and 1 packet Shan Liver Masala Mix to small cubes of 500g-750g chicken/ mutton/ beef liver. Set aside for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Heat ½ cup (75g) ghee/oil/butter and fry liver cubes on low heat until well fried and tender (about 10-15 minutes). Stir all the time.

      Serving Suggestion:
     Garnish with green coriander and lime juice. Serve with hard crust buns/ double roti or naans.

 

     Liver Curry

  1. Fry 2 medium finely sliced onions in 1 cup (175ml) hot ghee/oil until golden. Add 2 tbsps. (50g) crushed garlic, 1 cup whipped yogurt or 200g chopped tomatoes and 1 packet Shan Liver Masala Mix. Fry for 5 minutes. Then add 500-750g small liver cubes and fry for few minutes.
  2. Add 1-2 cups of water and reduce heat. Cover and cook until liver cubes are tender.
